Sucks about the shipping stupidity, but nice find on sealed with whatever that extra adapter is supposed to do.Octopod wrote: It was shipped in brown wrapping paper. It has some crushing, I do not know if it was like that before he shipped it or if it happened in transit but I would bet on the latter. Not even worth saying anything about I guess.

Interesting adaptor, reminds me of the old PC Parallel Disney Sound Source Speaker that came with Roger Rabbit.
Speaking of Roger Rabbit, came across this:

I am not sure what the adapter is for, but yeah, I thought it was cool.Hobie-wan wrote:Sucks about the shipping stupidity, but nice find on sealed with whatever that extra adapter is supposed to do.Octopod wrote: It was shipped in brown wrapping paper. The seller had used a stock photo so I thought the adapter would just be inside the main box, I did not know it was two boxes sealed together.
I do not collect sealed games but when that is the way I find them I get them anyhow. I like to see the all the stuff that came with older games but I cannot bring myself to open them. No point since I usually cannot play the game as it comes...I do not have floppy drives.
Edit: Looks like an Atari joystick which can be used in place of a mouse and a speaker can plug into it. This game must have been released around the time mice were just becoming popular I guess. The back of the box says the adapter is used to output 8 bit digital sound.

Looks like it is that Sound Source adaptor. A Covox one.Octopod wrote:I am not sure what the adapter is for, but yeah, I thought it was cool.Hobie-wan wrote:Sucks about the shipping stupidity, but nice find on sealed with whatever that extra adapter is supposed to do.Octopod wrote: It was shipped in brown wrapping paper. Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
It does seem to perform the same function as that Disney one.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Found a better pic, have this VGA game (The white box edition) with speaker somewhere in the washroom.

Oh man I remember those games and the sound accessories. Was the roger rabbit game the one with a code wheel?
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Been many years since I played it. I think it did have a red book or code wheel like the game Out of this World. I do remember the soundblaster not supporting the voices, only music. Only the Sound Source would pick up Roger in that old Disney game.VinylBlaster wrote:Oh man I remember those games and the sound accessories. Was the roger rabbit game the one with a code wheel?
Octopod, you could use any amplified speaker with your game. The "Sound Card" is in that plug and PC programming.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Are you talking a code wheel like the ones used for the Gold Box games? That primitive DRM was a lot better than the new stuff, huh?
I would love to be able to play some of the old stuff that I have on a older computer with floppy drives and all but that is not happening anytime soon. I have been sort of looking for a Commodore 64 off and on though.
BTW CRTGAMER, that Roger Rabbit game looks great.
