What's in your Investment box?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I guess I should say that, even though it's not sealed, I also have Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Limited Edition as an investment. I found it for $10 at a pawn shop.

Ironically, I found it only about 3-4 days after I found MGS3:Subsistence for $20 at GameStop. And I thought that was a good deal.

Meh, just about every game I have is a potential investment. I buy games that I'd like to play, but one deciding factor for me when I purchase a game is if I am buying it for less than market value. I question if I'd be able to turn around and sell it with nothing lost. Some things are an instant turn around, others sit in my collection that I intend to play, but if I don't and just end up selling it down the line, at least it should be more than I paid for it. I have a couple items that I'd like to get a good return from, but in no means am I relying on it or thinking I'm entitled to it. I have other money in stocks, and even that money is all money I'd be just fine without. Once money goes into my porfolios or stock accounts it stays there and gets reinvested. No pulling money out to pay bills. I don't invest money I need.

As far as specifics. I've got a few copies of the Mega Man 9 Press Kit, some sealed PS2 stuff, and other items I think are unique. Now as far as my collecting, I'm just keeping whatever I wouldn't be able to easily buy again. Once I'm back in the States I plan to sell a big chuck of my game stuff, knowing that I can easily replace it if I intend to (and for less than I sell it for). I'll just keep the stuff I find interesting.

I believe more than the original 200 were printed. It was supposed to be 200 but the website didn't cap the orders of the game right away and I think more orders got placed. To remedy the situation Capcom printed enough for everyone that ordered. I think thats the case anyways, though I don't really have any information or numbers to back it up. I think there was a mention on Capcom blog about making sure that everyone who ordered woudl get their copy, but no way I could link you to it.

Oh another thing in my box: Persona 4 Social Expansion Set. It was only sold through Amazon.com. That one spiked very early and now will probably just float around in value or go down rather than go up, but its my box anyways.

My PS2 is mod-chipped anyways, so I can always play any of the sealed games I have.

I got FarCry 2 Limited (a wooden box) edition with T-shirt and stuff for 360

bought it for less than the non-limited edition, due to space-shortage in the store

I haven't unpacked the T-shirt, but the rest has been played to death

meh.

I collect bibles (old and new testament)
and dies
and playing cards
preferably I *find* bibles and/or playing cards/dies
as in:

sometimes raiding a trash-room, I'll find a bible
sometimes walking the street I'll see a playing card
sometimes at a friend's house, you'll notice a D20, in a color you don't have and ask if you may have it

nothing I think will become valuable (perhaps my King James Old/New Testament, with pearl-cover, to be read only in church)

I'm not so much into the "investing" business (even-though I went to business-school; ironic, huh?)
C-64 will never die
- only the players
