I have a wii , but haven't modded it yet. Any of you guys do this ? My kids and I enjoy the wii , but its the least played of all our consoles. Maybe this would breath some life back into that dusty ol thang :)

I have an olderversion of the program installed and I love it. I wont do anything to jeopardize its function. Being able to carry 60 Wii games with me when I travel in a small bag and not worry about if it gets stolen, is awesome.

That and it means that my discs stay pristine.

Great tutorial!! I have used that program before and it works great. A modded Wii opens up so many other possibilities. 8)

I have this running off an older Maxtor drive. It works great as long as you don't choose a HDD that has power saving features. The Seagates come to mind here as do the ultra portable drives.

The only tricky part is that to get newer games working, you have to update the IOS every once in a while. Some games just don't work either, but not too many of the ones that I have don't work. The Metroid Prime Trilogy works for 1&2, but not for 3. Stuff like that.

I haven't been able to get Wii guitars working with Guitar Hero either when it's plugged in. Maybe I need to update it again or maybe there's a conflict or something. I don't know.

The interface is really slick and user friendly. My Kids (4, 6, and 12 yrs old) have no issues finding and loading up the games.
