What's in your Investment box?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What's in your Investment box?

Post by Gooseberrysoda »

I think it's safe to say that we've all been collecting things to sell years from now- sealed games, rare comics, and other stuff. What do you have stored away? I've just started, so I have

Sealed e-Reader
Sealed Mega Man 6: Battle Network
Tiger Woods Limited Edition Gatorade (x2)
X-Men #1 (in good condition)

I got the idea when I went to FYE- they're selling sealed GBA stuff for as low as $5 a game.
Sega Genesis (Model 2), Sega CD, Sega 32X, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Game Boy Family, Phillips CD-i Model 910, NES, Atari 5200, Virtual Boy, Atari Jaguar, Playstations 3-4

I've got sealed copies of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Persona 3, Persona 4, Disgaea 2, and too many other games to count. I honestly can't remember all of them, as I just keep them locked up.

The only thing I have that I keep in a sealed condition is my copy of the Mega Man 9 press kit. I got the music tracks off the internet so there's no reason to open it up. Plus, opening it up would ruin the small details like the retailer stickers put on it.

Yep, same for me. I play my games so I rarely have any at a time that stay sealed.

Is that X-Men #1 the 1963 one, or the one from the early 90s?

Keeping something for years with the intent to sell just seems odd. I doubt whatever amount of money you get will change your life dramatically to make keeping it for years worth it.

...unless you have a sealed copy of Stadium Events or Air Raid.
