Question about Backbone

I often hear that alot of their earlier XBLA emulation was awful and such but all I ever played of that was Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe, and Ecco and never really had a problem with them....though I don't have much to compare with as I never had a Genesis as a kid and the XBLA version of Golden Axe is the arcade game. So what was bad about their earlier stuff? What's the common consensus nowadays?

Didn't they port Castlevania: Symphony of the Night to XBLA? I played through that and thought that it was an excellent port.

Just want to say that I see the Backbone logo on many decent games for handhelds (even N-Gage But I was mainly thinking of quality GBA games that I remember having the Backbone logo).
