Make sure you employ me as executive producer on the project. Thanks in advance for the job proposition.ZeroAX wrote:Niode wrote:
Why hasn't anybody done some sort of multiplayer RTS game? One where each user with a DS micro-manages their own little squad and somebody with a Wii remote controls the overall battle by commanding each squad to attack different fronts etc. I would fucking love that game.
when I create my own video game company I'm making that game and calling it "Niode's Fantasy"

Never mind with the wii, Four swords is possible on the DS alone thanks to dual screens. Wheres my DS 4 swords dammit nintendo!Niode wrote: Why, THE FUCK?! Haven't Nintendo done this with the Wii? Everybody and their Mother has a damn DS. It's not like back in the day when finding somebody with a GBA was quite uncommon, let alone somebody with a GBA-GC cable. Nintendo screamed about the Wii+DS interconnectivity until they were blue in the face when they announced the Wii back in '05. The only thing they have done is allow you download shitty 1-shot demos? Where's Pac-man VS 2? Where's the sequel to Four-swords?

I have a bunch of Commodore monitors. Four 13 inch monitors stacked in pairs on the sides of the main TV ought to be just about right.fastbilly1 wrote: Yeah I own the five cube setup. Ive used it for Four Swords a half a dozen times, FFCC once, and Pacman Vs a couple dozen times. It is a fun setup, but alot of equipment. The trick is really finding tvs, cubes are dirt cheap and gameboy players can be obtained for $10-20. Once I get four of the same tv, Ill have it setup at home so itll get more playtime. But right now it lives in sterlite containers...
And there is a post about Pacman Vs, its the reason I came to the site actually. I met racket on another forum and after I did the setup I sent him an email and ended up on the forums.

I was going to build a platform so the monitors would be under the TV. I am SO jealous you have a bunch of Commodore monitors. I love those, and old Amiga ones. And everyone in my area wants far too much for them.Hobie-wan wrote:I have a bunch of Commodore monitors. I assume we're talking about the Commodore monitors that are perfect cubes. So awesome, and fitting for the setup.fastbilly1 wrote:I was going to build a platform so the monitors would be under the TV. I am SO jealous you have a bunch of Commodore monitors. Re: 5 Gamecube set up?
I have 2 1702s, which are the cube ones. Then I have a 1080, 1084, and a 1084S. So 2 of those could sit on top of the 1702s.noiseredux wrote:I assume we're talking about the Commodore monitors that are perfect cubes. 4 1702s would indeed be perfect.

I agree, the Comm 170x CRTs are great. I've been haulling one arround for over 10 years to game rooms. I love the s-vid, the display is on point. I have a couple of Samsung GX with the speaker flaps that are decent, but the 1701 form factor makes it a winner.
