it's the D-Pad. Which is fine for me as I'm using it mainly with GB/GBA games anyway. Off the top of my head, Wind Waker might be the only game I really have that NEEDS the left analog stick (wait... did Mario Kart Double Dash require left stick? Hmm.) But seriously almost every Cube game I own is a 2D and doesn't use the analog sticks anyway. I mean Cube-wise this thing is fine for say Capcom Vs SNK 2, Ikaruga, all those arcade compilations, and so on.

But I've been playing a bunch of GBA fighters, brawers and shmuppers with it so far.

oh and Arcade Stick comparison is up at my blog.

The Nuby Soul Calibur 2 stick is based on the analog stick. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Is it? I can't remember testing it one way or the other back when I had it. Hmm. Thanks for that.

EDIT: Wait, are you sure? I'm almost positive that when I had it and wanted to use it on NES games in Animal Crossing that it would NOT work to move my Animal Crossing character (analog) so I had to switch controllers...
