So is this exactly what it looks like? Some morons filming videos of breaking the law and endangering people on the highways? How are they not in prison for reckless endangerment?

I also wonder why they aren't in prison. I don't need to say anything about how dangerous this is for not only them but other people using the road.
With them being pulled over in the video it shows you how little whatever slap on the wrist they get affects them. With their planned events and dvds for sale some company must be sponsoring this. I wonder what real intelligent CEO would want their name on such behavior.
Can't they just use their DVDs as evidence and arrest them at one of their events?

Maybe someone could argue that video games made them do it!

So in the US I take it you just get fined for speed offences?
In this country it's pretty much 3 strikes and you're out. Every time you get a speeding offence you get points on your licence. Once you have 12 points on your licence that's it, you lose your licence, can face a suspension from driving (in other words not being allowed to take your test again for any length of time from months to a couple of years) and you could even get a criminal record.
Depending on the offence you could get 12 points on your licence in one go and can face a permanent ban.
SImply fining these jerks doesn't do anything, they're driving cars that are worth $100,000+ a $100 a speeding ticket is nothing to these guys.

It works about the same way in the US. I think each state has it's own point system (not too sure though) and your license will be revoked if you accumulate too many. If you are speeding through roadwork areas, your fine is doubled and if it happens twice you lose your license (at least in NY).Niode wrote:So in the US I take it you just get fined for speed offences?

This show looks really stupid. I'm sure they bypass the laws somehow when they pulled over. Most of the cars they are driving look like they're not even street legal. I guess passing a Jetta is supposed to make you look cool or something?

I despise the whole import racing thing based on what I always see of it. People who drive like assholes piss me off more than anything else.

The perpetual decay of civilisation. Do anything exceedingly stupid/wreckless nowadays and you're almost always guaranteed a fanbase of some kind.
