Yeah, I sensed that and I'm not biting.

Having multiple copies of Sapphire and all four competition Hueys on the PC Engine or multiples of Taroumaru, R.S.G. or Super Tempo on the Saturn deserves "oohs and ahhs". Owning a copy of every version of Salamander/Life Force ever released makes me drool. Having every shoot 'em up on the PS2 is amazing. Claiming that you have every 2D fighter and arcade collection on the PS2 when you simply do not and then aren't sure what to do while telling everyone about it in a series of poorly organized run-on sentences it is lame and makes me rant. These game are fairly common; even MvC2 is. Also, no imports.

Again, harsh but true.

I missed that!

As harsh as I am, I don't have all those fighters on my PS2. I do on the DC, but I'll be selling that later on so I'll miss them.

I'm not impressed, but I am a bit jealous.

Everbody,
First let me say thank you for all the advice good or bad. Let me get a couple things straight though. I do have samurai shodown anthology meaning every neo geo port for the PS2. I also know that these are very common any gamestop has at least one of these games, so I'm not at all saying these are rare by no means, am i a hard core collector like alot of people here on racketboy. I also don't want people to ahhh and ohhh my arcade ummm 2d fighter collection either. I also don't want people to the the work for me from another post i read on this. I just wanted to ask everybody at my time of posting this if its worth keeping because at that day my final purchase was kof 2006 and I looked at my collection and I said "wow what am I going to do with 5 different guilty gears" and even though I have metal slug anthology, why do I have metal slug 4 and 5? I looked at everything and gut disgusted at myself thinking "was this chase of getting all 2d games worth it?"
I just wondered something as I write to the game collectors that are on racketboy, Look at everything you collected and kept do any of you guys say the same thing? Did it ever interfere with you life like your girlfriend, wife, husband, boyfriend. Did it ever interfere with your bills and your savings? Do you ever let your kids touch and play with your collection? That all went through my head when I wrote this a couple days ago and now even though it never interfered with any of my bills , kids, or marriage, I'm just amazed at what I have for a game collection that's all and I just thought if I should get rid of it or not.
Thank you for reading this and I appreciate all your comments. Ohh by the way I do not I tend to stray away from the subject from time to time so thanks for reading this again.

I haven't managed to play all of mine either. But I hope I get there eventually.

Look, part of the reason I enjoy having a large collection is so if a friend comes over and says they want to play something, I've got it. Or if they say they never tried X game, they can try it. And there's always the case where someone looks through my collection and rediscovers a game from childhood. All three have happened in the past, and will likely continue to happen.

Do you need five versions of Guilty Gear? Well, some are quite different from others. For instance, GG Isuka is a totally different beast from the rest of the series. But if you've got doubles and you're looking to trim your collection a bit, I'd say keep the better version and sell the rest. So if you have a collectors edition and a regular edition, keep the collectors.

Ultimately though, it's your call.

Oh, and mas, could you please break up your paragraphs? It's tough to read that wall of text.

Ack I just fixed the paragrahs. I hoped that helps I do that all the time. I should go back to grammer school with my two boys.

Grass is always greener, a collector's de-lima. The thrill of the chase is gone, maybe subconsciously you're thinking about selling to start the collecting bug again? Good that you decided to keep the collection, a ton more regrets had you sold.

I think you got to the main point here. Unless you want every single game of a genre, there is no need for having every version of Guilty Gear, Street Fighter II, KoF, individual Metal Slug games when you have the collection (although the individual ones have extras the collection doesn't, it is still redundant overall). I'd advise you to trim it down.

Yeah, I've had a collection and trimmed it down numerous times. Right now, I'm trying to get down to mainly a modded PS2 (for imports), PS3 and Wii... and maybe a modded X-Box for MAME. Between those systems, you can actually get about 90% of the worth while games to play; MORE than enough to keep anyone busy for seven lifetimes.

I will miss the PC Engine Duo and the Saturn the most.

Best of luck!
