I don't know myself. I'd check since the Steam Fallout 3 will ONLY work with the DLC from Windows Live and they won't let the DLC on Steam.Niode wrote:If I were to pick up the PC addon pack on disc for cheap will it work with the Steam version?

I have not seen the DLC on disc for the PC version anywhere, only the 360 version.
Re: Borderlands PC multiplayer meetups
I've seen it on all platforms. Only in Game stores though, but I don't buy games from there, I just browse every now and then since I have a friend who works there.Octopod wrote:I have not seen the DLC on disc for the PC version anywhere, only the 360 version.

This sounds like fun. Would there be room for a total noob? I haven't played an online FPS since Q3A, and never any team games.
Would I have to buy it from Steam? Because it's cheaper elsewhere.

Looks like the answer is no if you read the blurb at the bottom of the page here: https://store.gearboxsoftware.com/Niode wrote:If I were to pick up the PC addon pack on disc for cheap will it work with the Steam version?
Appears that retail Borderlands can be updated with a purchase from Gearbox or retail, and I'll have to update through Steam. That's not so bad though, at least it doesn't force me through shit like Windows Live.
I saw a box at Best Buy with the first 2 expansions for $20 the other day for PC.Octopod wrote:I have not seen the DLC on disc for the PC version anywhere, only the 360 version.

Re: Borderlands PC multiplayer meetups
Sevin picked it up from GS and my copy is Steam. The matchmaking is done with Gamespy and works fine. We were using Steam for the voice chat. Though I suppose if someone had Ventrillio or something we could use that. Never used it myself since I don't play FPS or MMOs with people online.Hatta wrote:This sounds like fun. The game is sorta FPS/Action RPG, so its not as hectic as playing Quake/UT/Halo/Whatnot. Also characters are interchangeable between single and multi, so either someone else could catch you up as long as you started the game so you had quests available, or you could play a character up some levels to get going, then join others.

I'm not far behind you, Hatta. I'm like level 7 or something ridiculously puny.Hatta wrote:This sounds like fun. Would there be room for a total noob? I haven't played an online FPS since Q3A, and never any team games.
