before anyone tells me i should have "done the right thing," keep in mind this is a situation where no one will be harmed. goodwill doesn't keep an inventory, their items cost them NOTHING, and i paid the price that was keyed in by the cashier.

also got one of these for 5.99. came with all the books, box, and both discs. pretty cool so far.

Um, Goodwill is a charity and that money goes to help people so how is no one being harmed? That is by far worse than straight up stealing from a corporation.

Most Goodwills mark anything dvd cases as $2.99 or 4.99 Ive not seen a single case marked higher than 4.99, ever. Granted some Goodwills will jack their prices up. I mean I saw one selling all NES/SNES games at $50 a couple years ago.

Yeah. Sorry, I agree here. If I went to a charity garage sale and was going to buy a DVD player for $20 but the attendant accidentally rang it up as $2, I would have a moral obligation to point out their error. Goodwill is like a big charity garage sale.

I am a little surprised anyone would be condoning "getting away" with this kind of thing from Wal-Mart, Goodwill, or anywhere else. I am not trying to be holier-than-thou or anything, but benefiting this way at someone else's expense is undeniably morally wrong.

i guess i just don't care. plus i only bought it because it's sealed, and i'm going to return it to wal-mart and get something else i want. like, maybe, groceries. see the "being a complete and total asshole" thread.

i think goodwill is kind of bullshit for the most part anyway. their CEO in southern CA makes a quarter million a year. a lot of their business is strictly for-profit, unlike something like the salvation army which is a donation-based retail outlet of a long-standing organization with a strictly not-for-profit background, one that focuses on works and charitable action over recycling other people's things to fund "job training."

Got a couple of things, first was a small screen that attaches to the top of an old PS2. It was only $20 at gamestop, they had pulled it out of the back from years ago to take up space on an empty shelf. I use it to operate ulaunchelf/hdloader on my VGA ps2, and do things like select cars in GT4 (as the menus are stuck in 480i)

I used to use a 17 inch viewsonic for this setup, and had composite video ran to the nearest television for operating hdloader, and enabling progressive scan mode. Kinda a pain. Finding this little ps2 screen made my life much easier.

however the BEST find, was a FREE 21 inch "dell" (Sony) Trinitron flat screen CRT monitor with two VGA inputs, and Sync-on-green support for my ps2. These pictures don't come close to doing justice to this monitor. It's the sickest CRT I've ever owned, super bright, one touch auto image size adjustment. I just sent out an email at work asking if any folks were stashing CRT monitors after upgrading to flat panels. I got several e-mails, and got this and a 19 inch hitachi for free.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
