I know Octopod, but it is what forsigmar was looking for.Octopod wrote:Fastbilly that game takes place in 1964 in a world where ww1 never ended. That's a cool idea but not quite what I am wishing for.

Unless I am mistaken, those are just feed bags. Ill bounce it off my avener friend tonight. Since I havent ridden a horse in oooh fifteen years.
Ok technically she isnt an avener, but it sounds alot cooler than Stable Mistress.

Call of Juarez isn't the best game, it actually takes place in the civil war, where you and your brother are confederate soldiers. It is interesting to say the least. I know that's not what your looking for, but that's all I can think of, other than Wings 2: Aces High for the SNES, and Wings of War for the XBOX, but you fly a bi-plane in both of them, no ground combat.

I used to own it. It wouldn't run on my PC, so I called tech support. They went through the routine, and in the end told me it was like Windows ME: it works fine for some comuters, and just won't work on others. So I never got to play it.fastbilly1 wrote:Its called Ironstormforsigmar wrote:I thought there was a WWI PC first person shooter sometime around 2002. Decent singleplayer, never played the multiplayer.
And anyway, it's not about WW1 in a historical sense, it's an alternate past sort of thing, since it's set in the 1960's.

I don't think chemical warfare qualifies as "awesome"...Octopod wrote: Man WW1 was weird/awesome.
Ivo.
Re: WW1 FPS?
To be honest I do not think war qualifies as awesome but I think ww1 was long ago enough to look at in a purely historical way. Is stabbing each other to death with swords awesome? Not really but that happens in a million games that people enjoy playing. Killing people is pretty much what you do in 95% of video games.Ivo wrote:I don't think chemical warfare qualifies as "awesome"...Octopod wrote: Man WW1 was weird/awesome.

The games I find to be very tacky are those that are set in a desert environment and take place in modern times.
