Panzer Dragoon Orta is a classic from SEGA. The game looked great, very polished. The gameplay was solid too!! :D

Just thought of something. Now I'm on another Mod wild idea obsession. How about a Trakball for REZ, Panzer Dragoon, Sin Punishment and other Rail Shooters. Might be more responsive and tighter precise control. I do have an old 5200 Trakball and a PS1 Trakball, REZ on PS2 or even better REZ on Dreamcast, hmmmm.

I am not a Sega fan at all, but I love Panzer almost as much as I love Metroid, and I have 3 copies of Orta cause that game is so damn good.
If you don't have any soundtracks on vinyl you are doing yourself a disservice

Ah yes, other folks as crazy as me! Awesome! I actually have more than one copy for a few select games that I love

And I have three different versions of the movie Serenity too.

Wow, I dont own 2 copies of any games. I just generally have a hard time borrowing my games to people. I dont trust them to take good care of them. I have borrowed a few to people, they come back way more beat up then what I would like. So i stopped pretty much doing that.

Xbox should be here either today or tomorrow....!!!!!

Congrats on the Xbox and PD. For those that are interested, I have seen several copies of Orta at FYE, unopened, for $2.50. They are currently selling all new original Xbox titles for 75% off. So go look for a copy or perhaps pick up a sealed one for collecting purposes.

If I had to come up with a fault of this game (im on level 8) its the music isn't as nice as the other panzer dragoons. And the action accuatly seems a bit slower. However there is more gameplay and more thought required in defeating bosses then the saturn versions.

I'm not really one to spend a lot of time on a game that starts out overly hard (I had no patience for devil may cry 3) but Panzer Dragoon Orta was one of the few if only games that was so ridiculously hard yet so fun to play. The only other game I felt like that about was Abe's Oddyssey.

I liked the visual style and music. The cutscenes looked nice but honestly I was more into playing the game and never paid attention to the story. Still don't know what the game's story was about.

The game required fast reaction time and thumb dexterity that took time to build but once you figured out the best way to tackle a level it was extremely gratifying. On the flipside If I took a few days off from the game, I'd pretty much lose all the skill I built up. Damn it was hard.

I am on the last boss now. Ill have to try to beat it tonight. What an awesome game! I have only gotten one "S" ranking so far. Mostly "C" on the levels.
