Looking for Info on an NES/SNES emulator handheld
Looking for Info on an NES/SNES emulator handheld
Anyone have or know of a decent handheld device that will play NES/SNES Roms?
Re: Looking for Info on an NES/SNES emulator handheld
Both the NDS and PSP have good NES emulators. The NDS (AFIAK) doesn't have a good SNES emulator. There's also the GP2X which has quite a few emulators.

honestly i would just get a cfw psp2000. you get so much more than just a good emulator for classic consoles.

The one that first comes to mind is the Game Park. The newest version is called the GP2X Wiz. It can be purchased here: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-d1- ... -2z59.html
You could also put an emulator on a PSP or DS but the GP2X is basically made for emulators.

I've got a PSP 1000 and it works fine for NES/SNES emulation. Some SNES games run really slowly though (like Donkey Kong Country.)

If you're gonna play the GP32 Wiz card, I'll one up and mention the A320 Dingoo:

Like the Wiz, half the price, plays all my emulators without a hitch

If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

The Dingoo would work. The only problem is they are cheaply made by the Chinese. My friend got one and the L and R buttons were switched around (the actually buttons, not the circuitry, so they still work correctly it just said L where it should have said R). They are however, really cool and work great.
Re: Looking for Info on an NES/SNES emulator handheld
I have heard a lot of negative reviews about SNES emu on the Dingo, but I can vouch for the system: it works great! I have never had any of the issues that people have complained about (perhaps they listened to peoples' complaints). NES is great too. Plus, these two (and GB, GBC, and GBA) come standard as well for about $89 last time I checked (so the lightweight plastic feel doesn't bother me at all. I def hear that the PSP is a top-notch emulator, but it sounds like you are interested in only 2 systems - Dingoo is a cheap solution, but maybe the GBA is your best bet as others have suggested.
