Noob XBOX360 Question , how to exit to Dashboard via Console

hi scene , i want to exit a game to the Dashboard........can it be done via pressing a button the Console instead of pressing a button on the Controller ?

I'm pretty sure that is impossible... besides turning the console off and on again.

No, there is a workaround for this impossible feat. You see the button on the top of the controller, that little one with the ((( next to it. Press that for 5 seconds, disconnect the battery and then press all the buttons on the controller. This will perform a soft-reset on the console.

Not true. I think the replies so far have been a little facetious (well I know mine is) but I'll set the guy straight. vlame is right, the only way to do it without using a controllers is by pressing the Eject button. Seriously, go and try it right now. Load up a game and then press the eject button. Of course this only works for disc based games. The other way would be to press the Guide button once and then press the Y button.

Huh? Why don't you just press the guide button, then Y?? Takes 2 seconds. Why would you have the console box within reach but not a controller?
