This hit me out of nowhere! I, for one, am TOTALLY stoked for this game. I always sucked at the original game, but this looks like they've used just enough inspiration from the old game to make something new and fun. I really can't wait to see how this game turns out. Anyone else freaking out right now?

Shadow Complex was the first thing that popped into my head as well... It's funny too because I remember in the old days of the Unreal Engine people kept saying how "All these games look the same!" and seeing both Shadow Complex & this game use the Unreal Engine those jokes can make a comeback...

I'm no good at the NES or the GBA version. I'm not sure I've even passed the first boss or not. Something about the original I just don't care for so never bothered to get any better at it.

I was wishing that until people starting going "OMG IT LOOKS LIKE SHADOW COMPLEX YAY!" because, y'know, that'd be kinda cool.
