I absolutely loved Blue Dragon. It was pretty damn corny (voices and some story elements) at times, but it was ultimately a very fun RPG that emphasized older gameplay elements. I'm a sucker for old school RPGs; I'm playing Dragon Warrior 4 on the NES, and I like it as much now as I did when I first played it. If you're a fan of the older games, you'll probably love Blue Dragon.JokermanJohnny wrote:I've been wanting to buy Blue Dragon for the 360 and I've been tempted to get Blue Dragon Plus for the DS. I've heard that Blue Dragon has Sakaguchi directing it, music by Nobuo Uematsu and artwork by Akira Toriyama. All of these are reasons enough for me to buy the games, yet i've never bought it.
Can you guys tell me, in your honest opinion, what you think about Blue Dragon and Blue Dragon Plus?
Definitely get the hard mode though. It makes it a lot more challenging. Also if you're an achievement whore, you better be ready to devote a lot of time if you want to get some of the harder ones in Blue Dragon. Some involve maxing out the level and skills of all your characters, which is majorly time consuming. Others involve perfecting certain mini-game type sequences, which aren't necessarily that easy all the time.
