Wow, actually decent cardboard boxes...

Post by RyaNtheSlayA »

I was sceptical about buying a US game for my NeoGeo Pocket Color but I must say these are the best cardboard boxes I've seen. They are made with very thick, stiff cardboard, and feature a decent way to open them. For those of you that are curious, here are some pics:

That design is pretty good too. With the normal box design, if i'm not careful i end up ripping the seam of where the cardboard hooks in to close it. So i have to open really carefully and with some old snes boxes, i just dont open them and keep the game somewhere else.

It's a great cardboard case, but the European NGPC plastic clamshell cases are phenomenal.

plastic cases will always be better than cardboard.
Usually they don't look as good though.

Yeah the NGPC cardboard boxes are pretty good. My Biomotor Unitron box is perfect, and I bought it used.

I never keep the game in its cardboard box (unless it's a duplicate). I always take it out and put the box elsewhere. It also helps keep my collection clean because I don't have to have a separate place for loose games.

I like cardboard boxes. Sure, they are flimsy, but they can look good. I remember a box a friend of mine made for Yars' Revenge, it looked great. He even wanted to get some Universal Game Cases, but they are hard to come by in Brazil and expensive to buy elsewhere, so he just went on and made a cardboard box. It looked better than it would with the UGCs, in my opinion:
