I have hit a brick wall with the god damn Gigantuar. It wouldn't be so bad, but he inflicts pain and fog all the time, and he always seems to hit the sentinel just when the provoke runs out, so then he blasts my medic and I cry. It's very sad, really.MrPopo wrote:I've set aside FFXIII for now. I beat the 63 missions and got my ass massively handed to me by the new and more badass Adamantoises but then my apartment had a power blip. So I lost my progress. Fortunately, all I lost was the Gigantaur kill, and I'm kinda glad. Now I can go back and farm Adamantoises to get the two Trapazoihedrons for my other two party members and then see if I can beat Mission 64 and the new evil guys. Then I'll consider it complete.
Now I'm spending time on Resonance of Fate, and every so often a little Baldur's Gate. I installed Baldur's Gate trilogy to play the whole thing through, but I'm having trouble adapting to the older rules and clunkier interface, compared to modern titles like Dragon Age.
What RPG are you playing right now?

Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
I'm getting so sick of farming for cash in FF13. There really is no quick, easy way to get cash and I know EVERY method there is. Farming for perfumes and platinum ingots takes eons. There's no cash boosting accessories either. It's like they practically put no thought into how players are suppossed to get money in this game, which is stupid since that is what the entire upgrade system is built on(how much money you have)
God, this game is frustrating. But I still can't get over the fucking jaw dropping graphics and the badass combat system. I love the soundtrack too. Just got a few more marks to kill including the afore mentioned Gigantuar. My Fang is getting ridiculously powerful with my recently acquired Genji Glove and Highwind. Her and Sazh really make this game for me. Blitz and Highwind pawn and they are the best characters in the whole cast. Everyone else is just an anime cliche to me
Also, can someone explain why the industry leader in most eye popping cutscenes doesn't give you the option to rewatch them when most games today do? Morons at Square Enix, that's why. I'm still holding on to a particular save file for this reason only(right before the game's most action packed cutscene)

1. He is vulnerable to Daze (from the Libra)
2. Daze = sleep. The target is stopped until hit with a damaging attack.

I think I will take a break for 13 for a bit, and finish up marks in a week or so (or at least try to).
Just started Persona 4 tonite....I hope it's as good as everyone says. I like 3 a lot, so this is supposed to be more of the same, but better

Im playing Legend of the Dragoon on the ps1. First RPG for me ever and its really a fun game that will make me hate it within a second when losing to a boss.

Even though I have not completely finished up FO3 and NWN yet I started playing Might and Magic 1.

I've been playing Borderlands. Not technically an RPG in the traditional sense, but kind of.

Been loving the crap out of Skies of Arcadia lately.
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
I started SMT Nocturne.
I really like it; however, it is hard. I like the battles so I don't mind grinding to level up. I got bored of KOTOR. I did not feel like I had "real" control over the players actions.
