These things were made in China to begin with, so it makes sense. They've probably been sitting in a warehouse since 1994 and they just discovered they were valuable.
I just got mine in the mail this afternoon actually. I opened it up and it's definately not the same crap as the PlaySega controller. D-pad feels perfect. One difference I noticed from an actual Saturn pad is the shoulder buttons. The switches inside are lower profile, and they require shims on the shoulder buttons to make contact. Probably not a big deal. Maybe if I find the time this weekend I'll take some pictures.
Right now though, I'm going to play some DoDonPachi.
We are prepared to live in the plain and die in the plain!
And make absolute sure to ENABLE OTHER COUNTRIES in the search. Most are from Hong Kong.
Are you telling me that the best way to get a genuine quality product is to buy it from Hong Kong?
That does not compute.
I know, right? Funny thing is, if I'm not mistaken, so are the REALLY bad ones. Go figure. Guess we gotta throw out our preconceptions... My Dingoo A320 kicks and it's from China. And it's (gasp) fairly high quality! I was very skeptical on that one.
Bad news: prices are going up on the black pads already. Most are about $50. Grey and white are still about $20. Some black pads are still about $20, so buy 'em up.
