Favorite Booze - Rich and Poor?
Re: Favorite Booze - Rich and Poor?
If I am poor I will drink local like Carlton Drought or VB, if I got a couple pucks in my pocket I usually pick up some Pure Blondes, if I really feel like a good night I will pick up some Carlton Dry Platinum, nicest beer to through you on your ass real quick.
Niode, Stella is a fine beer, not worth what you pay for it (At least in Australia) but its better than whats normally on tap.

Aaaahhh you are from Australia... that's why you can pay for booze with pucks. Hehe. Just kidding. Sounds like you have some good brews in your area. Pure Blondes sounds very interesting.emwearz wrote:If I am poor I will drink local like Carlton Drought or VB, if I got a couple pucks in my pocket I usually pick up some Pure Blondes, if I really feel like a good night I will pick up some Carlton Dry Platinum, nicest beer to through you on your ass real quick.

I agree Stella is a great beer, it is not too pricey by me. Same as most of the others listed here.

Well there was my really very poor younger bachelor days.
Boones Farm before wine coolers were trendy.
How about mix drink of Mad Bird?
Mix Mad Dog 20/20 and Thunderbird.
Worry about toilet prayer later.
For the cross the ocean visits, Military days.
Oscar in Korea years ago when there were weird things in it.
Never enough egg sandwiches to salivate my munchy fix outside.
Mojo in the Phillipines, don't know what all was in it every bar had their blend.

Re: Favorite Booze - Rich and Poor?
can anyone take a guess my favorite beer? hahaha.
When im not drinking the fine Pabst, I am a fan of Flying Dog, they have many varieties, but my fav is the imperial porter. they make some "specialty" beers that come in corked bottles that are a good chunk of cash but are amazing. If you have an adult beverage store near you, go check it out.
as far as liquor, Jagermeister. in Jager Bomb Form. this is when you drop a shot in a can of redbull (that you put in a cup) and down it real quick. other than that, Segrams 7, Crown Royal, 1800 tequilla.
Ive always enjoyed buying new random beers to see whats good and whats not. we have a great beverage store that is always recomending me some new stuff, very good staff. Maine has some lame laws about importing beer and such up here, so theres a lot of stuff i havnt had the privelage of trying.

I usually only drink beer or bourbon. When I chase shots with beer I end up downloading bad games on the VC or bidding up retro games on Ebay.
As far as beer goes, I won't turn one down if your buying, but I don't care much for expensive brews. I worked at a restaurant/microbrewery a few years back and got turned of by the detailed nuances and snobbery, I just want a cold one. Now out at a bar everything is fair game, but for just keeping in the house the pricest beer i'll buy is Coors or Budweiser. The cheapest is Keystone or Natty Ice.
I'm no whiskey expert, but the liquor store down the street sells 750 ml of Jim Beam for $23, so thats a good deal for me. For a more expensive, yet smoother and higher quality bourbon, I like Maker's Mark.

I haven't tried many beers, but I do like Blue Moon and Corona. Generally, I drink rum (almost always Captain Morgan Spiced Rum) or whiskey (I especially enjoy Jack Daniel's and Jameson).

Re: Favorite Booze - Rich and Poor?
My beer of choice when I was back in the States was Rolling Rock. In Korea, not so many choices, on tap I just go with the local stuff Hite or Cass, which isn't bad, but not stand out. I've been drinking more Miller Genuine Draft here, though its only in bottles. I'm sure I can get other beers in other places, or if I go more into Itaewon (foreign district) but for the most part I'm not going to go too out of my way to sit down and relax.
