I recently received the Batman: Gotham After Midnight mini series as a gift. I know there not rare or anything but I would like to keep them in as close to mint condition as possible.
How should I go about storing them? they are currently in individual plastic sleeves with a card backing and I have them stacked on top of each other. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks for looking.
Comic Book Storage
Re: Comic Book Storage
Go to your local comic shop and buy a short box. Or, if you are of age, an empty 12 pack box of rolling rock makes for a great box to store comics in.

Re: Comic Book Storage
If those are the only comics you have, lay them flat on a shelf or something. If you have to pack them away take luke's advise or use any other sturdy box.
Your main goal now that they are in plastic is to keep things from denting and dinging up the covers.

Thanks guys, I think they will be safe in my draw for now until I get any more.

Re: Comic Book Storage
If your not going to collect any more comics (and I don't blame you, new titles are way too expensive nowadays) wrapping them snugly with a brown paper bag can be more spacially economical for just a few books as long as they are kept flat. Keep them dry, cool, and away from light, so in 20 years they may be worth cover price.

Make sure those bags you have the comics in are acid and PVC free because if they aren't your comics will yellow and start drying out and cracking much faster over time.

Re: Comic Book Storage
I've recently thinned my collection down to one longbox. I'm more into TPBs nowadays. I also got rid of all the bags and boards I had. I'd rather just keep them loose in the box. None of them are worth much and they aren't handled very often. I keep them nice like anything else but I'm not obsessed with the condition and grading like when I was a kid.
