Hey, if you get a chance... could you let me know how the framerate is on that one? I've been hesitant to buy another Medal of Honor or Call of Duty game on PS2 after playing "MoH: Frontlines" and realizing how incredibly unsteady the framerate is during the game.J T wrote:Today I found Call of Duty: World at War for $2, on PS2.

Okay thanks, no worries. TURBO button and Direction Pad as Niode pointed out seems to be third party.aaron wrote:I did indeed. No hard feelings, I hope, just lame attempts to amuse myself.
I'm actually pretty sure that controller is one of the "officially licensed" wireless controllers. I'm on my phone so I can't post a link atm.
rainnyx4, please let us know what you find out. The concave sticks and longer base grips are of interest on that controller.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Those licensed PS2 wireless controllers you linked are very nice, but lack two essential features I found lacking.aaron wrote:anyway, i think it's one of these:

1) True rumble is not present, this controller uses a cell phone style vibration rumble like the logitech wireless controllers, not my kind of thing.
2) The analog sticks are hard plastic instead of the soft, rubber coated sticks from the official DualShock 2's. This isn't that big of an issue though, because you can actually just crack open the controller, pop off the stick's thumb pads and replace them with the rubber ones from an official DualShock 2. After the switch (If you choose to do it) using the controller is much comfier and all around better thanks to your extra grip on the stick.

Nope, they're not the same. It has a different d-pad than the controller in the mystery photo and is missing that small circle button above the Select button.aaron wrote:anyway, i think it's one of these:

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
good point(s). the mystery controller looks like it might be another type of wireless ps2 controller, though. the button above the select button appears to be a "vibration control" button. hm.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Nope, they're not the same. Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I did some more looking and couldn't find anything on Neo-Techni's controller museum about it. Then again the pic wasn't the best to start with so I wasn't able to form a solid comparison.aaron wrote:good point(s). the mystery controller looks like it might be another type of wireless ps2 controller, though. the button above the select button appears to be a "vibration control" button. hm.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Nope, they're not the same. Here's Neo-Techni's controller page for some more info. Keep in mind he rarely updates his estimated values for controllers and such unless he buys one in the recent term so some values can be a little high and outdated as they reference the original MSRP and such:
