Craziest Idea You've Ever Had

Post by trdbglr »

What is the craziest (by "craziest" I mean the most awesome, doesn't need to be crazy, i.e. the one that means the most to you) most awesome idea you've ever come up with, be it music, game, film, or literature related.

This post is mine.

Sorry, the most epic, most awesome, craziest thing ever has already been done:

Anything more epic would be dangerous and incomprehensible by the human mind; it would break faster than Crysis on a netbook.

Well, I already posted pictures of my Nintendo Tunnel in the Game Room Forum, so for this I'll have to say the custom built Fireball Island I made.

For more pics of that check out my blog where I'm currently building another one! FYI: You'll have to go to the older posts for more pics of this one.

Beat up a hooker in Hong Kong right in front of shore patrol back in 2005....

...oh, I mean, I once wrote a pretty decent mystery novel but never bothered to get it edited or published.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I built a steering-wheel-joystick for my commodore 64
it was a rather simple construction, with dissecting a TAC-2 joystick and fixing a little wiring, etc; then using a "real" steering-wheel for the construction

IIRC I made a gearbox as well, hence it (mainly) worked with G.A.C.C.R.R. (Great American Cross Country Road Racing); not 100% sure if it was a gearbox, or if it was gas/brake

also tried to make a space-sim joystick for Elite, by wiring the different keyboard-keys to a large box, upon where I had a gear-stick, used as joystick and some buttons attached for short-keys, etc

pretty advanced, but never finished

not the most awesome I've done, but the most game-related, awesome thing I've done =)

Two of them actually.

First: Stuff a PS2 Slim in an Apple ][ floppy drive
Second: Paint a PS2 (fat) white and pink and decorate with flowers (really nice, very subtle ones too...)

The latter is getting close to becoming a reality as soon as I figure out how well the vinyl dye will work on the black plastic...

I wish
this was back in the early nighties; I've moved about 10 times since then, between countries 3 times =) I've lost anything Commodore 64/my life -related stuff until 2003-2004

I'm working on getting stuff going again =)

*on-topic*

I found an Xbox360 amongst the electricity-trash (dumpster comes twice/year to pick up the neighborhood-hardware, etc.)

it was RROD, but I used my (not recommended) towel/freezer-trick; and brought it back to life
then I tested it for a couple of days, I decided that I didn't have any use of 2 Xbox360's; since I simply couldn't find enough LAN games for it

so I traded it for a DreamCast; which is the first time I've owned/played seriously a DreamCast

needless to say; that was the best trade I've made =)

I wanted to make something like the FC3 or the FC twin, only with every cartridge based system in it. There would be a bunch of adapters so that there wouldn't be 50 cart slots on the system.

Shouldn't be THAT impossible
