I want to get that, too, but I thought I heard that the multi-game cart does not work with the UniBIOS. Is that not true?

I gave my son and her my best N64 kid impression while carefully tearing into it (OH MY GOD!! NEO GEO!!!!). Normally I keep my game stuff in my game room, but since the TV and sound system is 1000 times better in our living room I hooked it up there to test it out. I had a blast playing Ghost Pilots, Blue's Journey and Magician Lord.

Haha my girlfriend is the same way. It came to a point that if Neo anything came out of my mouth, daggers would shoot out of her eyes. I keep in touch with a few of my friends around my Super NES days, I called them up and told them what I got and they were all totally jealous. We spent the next hour reminiscing about all the games and sleepovers we had.

Wow, your gold box is in great shape! Mine has much more wear on the corners. Its now a centerpiece on top of my living room shelves.

This is really spawning into an outright obsession to collect all the games and game systems I always wanted.

I was extremely happy with the condition everything was in. The guy I bought from kept it in great condition. All 3 games were still sealed even (and 2 of the other 3 I'm currently waiting for from him).

Unfortunately for me none of my friends understand how awesome this thing is. To them its just "another old system". I've also been made fun of since I didnt spend the money on a PS3 or 360 instead. I've got 3 more games in the mail right now too. Ninja Combat, Sengoku and Nam-1975. I'm jealous of your memory card and extra controller though. I'll have to dish out for those before to long.

After hearing what you dished out for yours I'm even happier with my deal :). Its not modded and doesnt have the memory card or extra controller, but it cost less than half what you paid. $299 w/3 sealed games!!

Yeah, you got a great deal!

The modding definitely added to the price. The unibios mod isnt something a novice would want to tackle. I was a bit picky with my purchase. They specifically imported an AES and controllers in perfect condition. This thing doesn't have a scratch or scuff anywhere. Start adding $40 here for this mod and $35 there for this accessory and the price goes up quickly. That and this was from a "store" not an individual, so obviously a little profit needs to be added in.

I had planned from the start to buy the converter to play cheaper MVS games and while randomly searching the net for "Neo Geo MVS" stumbled upon a great deal on a MVS cab and bought it completely on impulse.

I have another thread that I started about the mods/restoration I am making to the cab that many of you have probably already seen(sorry). I just have to gush over this thing some more.

Below here is a shot of the MVS before I got a hold of it as proof that it was operational. Take note of the control panel.

And here is a after... all new buttons/joysticks and control panel overlay.

So what started as a quest to buy an AES ended up being a MVS impulse buy before I even got my AES and sparking another new hobby of mine. So fun to work on this thing.

That is a beautiful machine!! Looks like you did a fantastic job on the Controls too. They look 1000% better.

Similar story here. Luckly for me, I've been living in Japan for the past few years where Neo Geo systems are actually a fairly common thing to come across (AES and especially CD) and aren't horribly expensive compared to their American counterparts. I also have a top-loading CD model for myself.

When I was a teen in the 90s, owning one seemed like a fairy-tale. I haven't even seen a real one in person until I saw one in a retro shop in university!

Lucky! I would love to make my way over to Japan sometime. In the past few months, I have been getting a bit obsessed collecting classic consoles/games. Any chance I can run a shopping list by you and if you come across anything while out and about, let me know and I can paypal you the cost plus shipping and a little extra for your time? :D That would rock!

I was planning on getting a mini mvs cabinet but was wondering how much room is there on the CP for two people to play on it? Looks a little cramped. If you can give me a little information it would help me out on my purchase. Thanks.

Where did you buy your modded AES from? They seem like respectable chaps.

I have an unmodded AES, and I might want to send it to them for unibios + S-video.
