Thats what I would do anyway, since it will be able to play all the DS games, and it has the two DSi cameras, but now its in 3D

Or pick up a used DS lite, and get the GBA slot. Used DS Lites are hitting ~$80 here. That should keep you busy enough until you can pick up a used 3DS for about the same.

As others have said, just don't buy it.

I personally prefer to have diversity like this in any industry.
