The high scores ARE really odd. Seems like the ranked mode is the only one that keeps track. It would be nice to have a high for all the dipswitch combinations - but maybe that's how real cabinets work? I have no idea.

Bought Asteroids and Shao-lin's.

Example
When looking at one of my arcades octopod has the high @ around 10000 (The red score above the machine) When I play ranked my best has been around 13000. Doesn't register my high score. On top of that, I don't think they register challenge scores towards your overall high score because octopods Challenge score on the game beats my high ranked. Yet the arcade shows the 3rd highest score between the 2 of us. It's all a lil confusin right now.
I noticed that too. I was playing someone else's Tempest and I beat the high score showing on the cab and put in my initials. Then my score just seemed to disappear.

For high scores to count you have to of bought the game and got the score in ranked mode. Still when you drop from the server I don't think they count it either. Driving me crazy.

So they've taken away that part of the arcade experience? Leaving your initials on a random machine in an arcade somewhere? Seems to me it should record and stay. The person who has the arcade should have the option to reset the scores on the 'machine'.

It will stay if you use the play once for 40 points option but not using the credits they game everyone 20 of. It cost me 5 of those credits to play on DaGamingMonkey's Yar's Revenge machine and it cut me off after a ten minute time limit. Those credits are basically worthless. They just let you demo some of the games a second time.

Updated the OP in order to help facilitate some challenges and what not. I'll add tags and game titles as the thread progresses, provided that Game Room actually goes somewhere. I think it will get better over time. All just depends on the games.

I have four challenges going on right now with different people. It would be nice if we could get one big challenge going so I don't have to play the same game so many times with different people. :P

Edit: For the OP I do not have Tempest but I think at least two people in this thread have it. DaGamingMonkey seems to have everything. 8)

I like the idea of this thread having all the info for GTs and what games each person has.

I only have Asteroids and Shaolin.
If multiple people have these arcades we should all jump into one challenge instead of each having our own thing going. (If we can have multiple people in a challenge)

I challenged another friend of mine only to rack up my best score ever. what sucks is it doesn't count towards my overall arcade high score, or my other challenges. :(

Also I'm not interested in survival challenges on either of the games I have, just a heads up.

Edit:
Man I'm on fire tonight.
New High on Shao-lin and broke my previous high scoress on asteroids twice.
Challenges should count towards our medals. I have to sit and play through shaolin like crazy to get the time medals. At LEAST the total time medals.

I should have waited until I had everyone on my list before sending a challenge. Octo, feel free to ignore mine and send one out to us all.

Nah, it's cool. Playing more gives me more practice. When they release some new games I'll try to get one big challenge going.

I've been hooked on Shao-lin's Road myself for some reason and made the horrible mistake of buying Battlantis.
