Best Final Fantasy game? (in your opinion)

I actually liked FFX the best followed by FFVII, and and FFII in the U.S. I enjoyed the messed up story and betrayal in that version. In FFXII I had fun for a short time, but lost intrest about halfway through the game. I hope FFXIII will gain back my interest in the series.

I really liked both 7 & 8. I havent played them since around when they were released so I really dont know how they hold up. I have a copy of FF 12 but its still sitting on my shelf in shrink wrap with my unplayed CiB copies of 4 & 6 that were released for the GBA. Maybe Ill have the time to get to it one day, I dont really like JRPGs to much. The DS version of 3 was good also. So...best...hmmm..Ill go with 7. *shrug*

If you have/can get the first one on PS1, it doesn't take too long to play through which is actually one of the things I like most about it. I also have a guide that's only 3 (I think) pages long that will take you through the game in a breeze, if you want.

The one on the FF Origins version? That's on my target list, have every other copy of FF on the PS1 except Origins.

final fantasy 7 was one of the first games i played and i was like 7 at the time lol

i remember getting home and trying to play it and could not do anything so my dad played it and completed it and never before have such epic moments of a game stuck in my head

spoilers :

the moment areis is cut down by sephiroths evil blade ( i cried like a baby )
the awakening of the weapons
the first fight with reno and the turks
the destruction of the slums
fighting rufus on the roof of shinra whilst his dad lies dead in the following room and then having to fight another boss
the golden saucer
fighting emerald weapon and loosing terribly
chocobo racing
the midgar zolom ( realizing you do not stand a bloody chance ) and then witnessing sephiroth kill it like instantly
playing as cloud with sephiroth by your side and seeing him slay a dragon in moments
the weapons battle at junon harbor
the final epic form of hojo on the roof
and being confused by the story and taking until last year to finally realize what the hell was going on
and of course laughing at advent children

all these stick in my head ... saying that ff8 and ff10 had there moments

No, I didn't care about her either. I worried about my equipment and who was going to be the healer from then on.

Final Fantasy IV on the SNES had the greatest story and it was the only one that kept me playing, and wanting to come back for more.

I was really upset when Aeris died. When FF7 came out it was fucking epic for the time. Ofcourse I was probably drinking while I played it. *shrug*

Final Fantasy XIII is just a game you just enjoy.A good soundtrack massages with a beautiful graphics.Final Fantasy VII, all the time always keeping you guessing as to what will happen next.It also has a beautiful music, graphics and dynamic game play. All the series of FF are good to play at least once.
