Which RPGs have "bad" voice acting...

Post by JokermanJohnny »

One thing I've noticed whenever I've looked for RPG recommendations is that the voice acting in a majority of games will be dismissed for being bad. Since this is an extremely subjective topic (i.e. what one views as bad, another can see as "so terrible, it's hilarious") I want to hear your honest opinions on what RPGs have bad voice acting, and, if possible, which character from said RPG had the worst performance.

Probably a better question is what games have good voice acting. imo 90%+ of games till just recently all had pretty poor voice acting.

My response to that can only be this:

"No, people. That's not how you do it. For the hundredth time: emote, connect and be credible."

Shining Force III for the Saturn sticks out in my mind as having particularly bad voice acting.

The CDi Zeldas have some pretty corny and terrifying voice acting.

I always thought the voice-acting in Jade Cocoon was god awful.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.

In the case with Two Worlds, I think it actually makes the game a lot better and hilarious

I briefly thought that the voice acting in Lost Odyssey was bad, but by the end of the game I realized that the real problem laid with a poor translation of the script. Too much of the dialogue sounded mechanical IMO.
