It's an snes proto for Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I've played the first few levels of the proto and haven't found any significant changes yet. I'm hoping there will be awesome ones in later levels :)

Ah, cool. Never played ZAMN myself, but I've heard it's pretty rad.

Possibly. Keep it away from sunlight and sources of intense electrical current and you should be fine for longer than 10 years.

Yeah, don't worry about it fuct. Like I was saying, most EPROMs and whatnot are guaranteed for 10 years, but they tend to last a lot longer. Using the same example, the NES College Campus (or whatever it's called) has EPROMs and they're still kicking, closing in on 20 years old.

Further more, don't worry about the bit rot anyways. If the EPROM in your BK3 cart ever fails, you can just get it reprogrammed.
winds wrote:Now another question haha, I bought a proto recently with an eprom inside. How would I go about backing this up before bit rot takes over. Is there a cheap way?
If you want, I could do this for you. Also, there's a good chance I can dump the EPROM(s) and then rewrite them (think of it as changing a light bulb for a fresh one before it burns out). If you're interested, send me a PM.

I have a Psikyo Dragon Blaze PCB that needed a new eeprom, but once I replaced it the board won't boot past a "security ng!" message. Anyone have thoughts on a way of clearing the chip short of reprogramming it? I've tried various combos on boot with no success.
