Got a Neo Geo CD!

Post by Unleaded Logic »

So at the Midwest Gaming Classic, I picked up a Neo Geo CD for 120 bucks. With it came Double Dragon, KOF 98 and Samurai Shodown 2. All pretty decent games. What else is decent on the system? I'm burning 3 Count Bout right now..

Congrats! It's an awesome system.

Metal Slug 1 & 2, of course. And Street Hoops (aka Street Slam aka Dunk Dream) is one of my favorites.

There's also that Samurai Shodown RPG (I think someone's making a translation patch for it).

Twinkle Star Sprites and Last Hope are worth a look. TSS can be pricy but it's fun as hell!

anything pre 98 is great on the CD.
after that , the loads times will get to you. If you do get some later titles like Last Blade and KoF99, turn the handicap way down in versus. The matches last much longer and you don't have to wait for the dreaded load times.

Anything that is not a 1998+ fighter will have bearable load times.
