I have no idea how any of you know exactly what your 100th game was. Precise record keeping?
In fact, I'm not entirely sure what the first game I personally obtained was. A great deal of my first games were hand me downs from my older brother, so I can't say which were actually first. The first games I can remember personally buying are Vegas Stakes and Illusions of Gaia. First games I can remember playing are Pitfall! and BurgerTime.
I'm much more than halfway towards 1000, though I personally hope I don't reach it...
Your 1st, 100th, and (if applicable) 1000th game!
Re: Your 1st, 100th, and (if applicable) 1000th game!
Only reason I remember is because I am at 144 games right now.
As for those who have near or over 1000, how would you remember?

Kinda hard to answer. My dad had a 2600 with space invaders and pacman, but I guess that wasn't technically mine. Then my mom got an atari st computer and my uncle would bring me over boatloads of copied games. I couldn't tell you what the first one was, but the first one I remember playing was dynamite dux.
In 2nd grade I got my first system, Sega Genesis with Sonic 2. So I guess that would be it. Although before that I had one of those crappy Sonic 2 LCD games...I played it a ton though.
Weird that dynamite dux and Sonic have a connection though. . .

First video game owned? That would be a Coleco Telstar pong machine. One hundredth? Man, no idea. Probably a C64 or NES game back i the day. One thousandth? I seems to have passed that quite a while ago too now that I do have a list, however I don't have C64 stuff on there and have sold dupes and things since joining Racket.

The first game (that I owned?) was Super Mario World.
I was thinking the same thing! The hell if I know what my 100th was. I don't even know what system it was on!crux wrote:I have no idea how any of you know exactly what your 100th game was. Precise record keeping?
I never gave my collection a counting, but I know I got a few hundred games. I think I know what you mean by not wanting to reach 1000 games though. If you have that many games you can't possible be playing them all, enjoying them all. I feel like I have too many as it is, I can't imagine 1000.crux wrote:I'm much more than halfway towards 1000, though I personally hope I don't reach it...

First video game I ever purchased with my money was Toy Story for the Genesis.

^ Ah, that's one that I would have a tough time remembering. Which was my first game I purchased with MY own money. I think it was Hook for the SNES.
