I mean like a totally new game, whether it's a hack or homebrew? I'd love to play a new game in the series.
EDIT: I suppose I should clear up the fact that I despise anything past generation 2.
Has there ever been any talk of a NES/SNES pokemon RPG?

The Wii has had a rather uninspired and stale title since XDPichu wrote:Too bad there hasnt been a console Pokemon RPG since Colosseum and XD.

The web's first video game public library! http://videogameexperiment.com rents all games for free and sells them for less than Ebay and Amazon! Plus we take anything in on trade-in.

Essentially a copy of Pokemon Stadium. Only good for doing wi-fi battles on a tv between DS systems.

Sorry just a pet hate of mine, the NES is 3rd Generation and the SNES is 4th Gen.EDIT: I suppose I should clear up the fact that I despise anything past generation 2
I cant see why there would have been much talk of a SNES Pokemon RPG as it was released around the same time as the N64, and in the States after its release.
Your only luck would be a chinese famicom bootleg , no idea if any are around but I imagine they would just be Red/Blue on a Famicom cart anyhow, better off to buy a Super Gameboy.
Re: Has there ever been any talk of a NES/SNES pokemon RPG?
I have seen a fair number of interesting romhacks on the NES, but I don't think anyone is going to put in the time or energy to program a new pokemon game on an old console.
Solution? POKEMON RED/BLUE/YELLOW + SUPER GAMEBOY!!!

Oh sorry! I get you now, I thought you were saying the NES was first gen, which quite a lot of people seem to think.
Well the first two generations can be played on the Super Gameboy (Other than Play) so I would give them a go if you have no all ready, though it wouldnt give you a new experience, playing on a TV is always badass.
