Hi guys, a long time lurker here.
Perhaps I've been watching way too many games a day and can't recall this one.
I believe it was released on the Virtual Console (but checked the list and didn't find it)
I believe it was included in a collection of the companies games for PS2
I believe it was said to be very hard, contain 99 levels, and one of the bosses being referred to as 'octopi'
It's a space/sci-fi themed shooter in 2D.
The character you control has a astronaut helm, some sort of backpack. The character is relatively big.
I wouldn't call it a shmup, as it has maze-like levels. The one I recall in that youtube video was a labyrinth with thin walls and some gooey aliens sticking to the walls, shooting in your direction. The level design was less organic than Section-Z, blocky, without any curves on the walls.
I've already checked Section-Z on both the NES and Arcade - it's definitely not that title. The graphics sophisticaton of the title I'm looking for is rather arcade/SNES-like.
Thanks guys, I tried my best to be as specific as I can.
