Samurai Shodown Sen

Looks pretty good. It seems to be about as much a 2d fighter as SF4, but its hard to fully tell.
Love the finisher! Looks like its done with certain hard slashes like the old games

Re: Samurai Shodown Sen
It seems more like a standard 3D fighter to me. Oh, well. As long as Nakoruru and/or Rimururu are in it, I'll probably play it.Capcomwarrior wrote:http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/ ... eo/6254224

Re: Samurai Shodown Sen
Being a Samuri Shodown fan, I have to say that looks terrible. For one its not 2D in any aspect, 3D characters fighting in a 3D enviroment. It could have been at least 3D characters fighting on a 2D plane, but no, what you have is a Soul Caliber look-a-like game that looks like its from the PS2. The sad thing is I will probably get it anyway just because I am a fan of the series.

Wait a minute, Samurai Shodown Sen? What happened to Samurai Shodown 7 through 999?

Hmm...I'll play it, but I definitely wonder about the move to 3D. Why try that again?

I like the warriors rage and 64 games. I know they werent well received but I just love Samurai Shodown that much I guess. I really enjoyed them and I will surely enjoy this one.
But yeah you are right, I guess it does just look more like a Soul Cal after watching it again, this time with sound. The guy even started to say some negative things when she asked him about controls.

And this article says it in detail. Its nothing like the 2d series.
Like some of you said, Ill still play it since its a Samurai Shodown game.

Not looking good. I will certainly not support SNK's decision to make the game this way and will vote with my wallet. Would it be asking too much for a "reboot" of Samurai Shodown 2 (or any of the first four) perhaps done by the team responsible for KOF XIII?

Re: Samurai Shodown Sen
My brother bought the game and he says it IS on a fixed 2d plane afterall.
He is enjoying it and says it is a lot like the originals.
I can see there being some discrepancy between his opinion of "a lot like the originals" and mine, but as far as it being on a fixed 2d plane... well at least that much is probably true
Shouldve stood by my original statement - silly me hahaha
