the weird thing is that it will go together even if it isn't hooked. Most people miss this when they reassemble and it will definitely affect operation.
72 pin came today. Installed without a problem. Tray hooked!!! lul. Works great. The grip is perfect. Not super duper tight but you can defiantly tell its new. Works in the down position.
EDIT: I take back what i said about it not being tight. It's kinda hard to get a game out now that everything is back together. Small price to pay for it booting every time you press power now though hehe
Good to hear. Although Nuttinbutgamestuff is on hiatus right now I guess so I went ahead and purchased one from lukiegames for 5 bucks. I'll report back with tales of success (or failure).
Got the new pin connector and installed it today, also disabled the lockout chip while I was at it. It seems to be working really well so far, the connector is not loose and it's not too tight. The only thing is that if any of my games are dirty, it just shows a grey screen but once I clean the game, it'll work first try. (I know I shouldn't even put them in without being cleaned first but I was testing a few)
Too bad Nintendo tried to make NES resemble a front loading VCR to get machines in the store after Video game Crash.
Along with the little Robot that could. In a way did save the home video game console.
