Nintendo DSi XL video capabilities????

Post by tahoe2 »

I know that the original dsi doesn't have video capabilities or the ability to webcam with friends. But, I haven't seen anyone deny that the dsi xl will?

Does anyone here know if you can webcam with friends on the dsi xl? It would be really cool if it did, and if it doesn't I won't buy it. I don't want an answer from someone who doesnt actually know though and is just guessing. Guesses don't help me out. Also, don't give crap about it being too big or saying I should get a psp or use computer webcam instead.

Thanks.

The XL is literally and exta large version of the DS-i, nothing more.

Google, any display box at a store, ign, kotaku, destructoid, joystiq, etc..., etc..... has had any and all of this info for close to a year now. I'm not meaning to be rude if I'm coming of as such. I just have to answer this question like fifty times a day at work and it can get to me.

Yep. Already looked at those sites. NOthing about the dsi xl on it. Only the dsi. No gaming site speaks of its video capabilities. I had to result to yahoo.answers to find out of the dsi had it or not.

But good job telling me to use the internet to find information i DID look for on the internet and couldn't find. Also, it's not march 28. How am i supposed to find a dsi xl store display box? It's not out? None of the stores where i live have it, so i'm guessing none of the stores anywhere in the u.s have it.

Like I said man, it's not me being an ass, just letting out some frustration you know?

It's all relative. :)

Anyhow, if you want any more info on it all GameStop stores have several dozen display boxes scattered about their store floor and wall displays including right next to the register and near the DS kiosks. GS's website also has plenty of info as well if you'd like to look there. But yeah, there are definitely lots and lots of ads, display boxes and other pieces of info out in retail stores, especially because it's coming out in less than two days.

Ah no sweat, I definitely know the feeling when I walk into a shitty store.

Also as a heads up, the Game Days sale (Tons of NEW games marked 20%-60% off!) starts tomorrow morning, so if you want some crazy deals on games you've wanted for a while I suggest hitting GS up! Hopefully this makes up for my being a bit rude as GS refuses to advertise it until after tomorrow, so it's sort of like an ambush on the customers.

Baoullin. I'll probably get a bunch of those 2 dollar ps2 games for a dollar lol like kingdom hearts, sly cooper, and stuff. Just to flesh out my collection, while spending only 10 bucks i would've wasted on high school ice cream -_-

Unfortunately the sale only applies to the brand new titles/accessories located in the Game Days bin located in the center of the store, not on any used items. There's a lot on next gen, DS/PSP and Wii stuff in there, but nothing more than a few random shovel-ware titles for the PS2 at my store, but it does vary on a store by store basis, so you never know.

I have not heard of any video conferencing, so no sorry. And since it launches on Sunday, most stores should be getting stock today. Mine actually came in yesterday and I got to play with it alittle in the store. It is simply the Cadillac of DS's (sadly no Dinosaurs though).
