Sorry if there's a similar thread, I used the search thing before, so I guess not.
I've got a few NGPC games and I love them all, as much as the system itself. But theres a lot of japan games that look cool on the screenshots I've seen or on emulators. I just dont know what theyre about, so I cant pay attention.
The point is, what japan games are worth playing and buying, without knowing japanese? Obviously I wont grab rpg's, but there must be more stuff.

I don't have the Neo Geo Pocket, .but did you get a chance to look at link below?
Mostly of the system itself, but a few import games mentioned.

Sure , but that guide mostly covers the well-known games. Im asking owners to discuss their favorite non-english translated games. And btw, that guide forgives probably the best game in the system, SNK vs Capcom Match of the millenium

Maybe some other members have some that can share a review.
Here is the Wiki list, if anything gives you a list to search reviews with.

Looking it over I do like the Puyo series on the Dreamcast versions.
Magical Drop on regular NEO GEO pretty good too.

Re: Japan NGP and NGPC games
For Japanese-only releases that are playable I can say that Rockman is a no-brainer - it's a series of boss fights and virtually no Japanese language skills are needed in order to play it.

I don't think you are really missing anything with just English Titles.
The main Jp exclusives would be : Cool Cool Jam, Tactics Ogre, Rockman

What about that Photo ghost one? Seems enjoyable but pretty much japan text based :/sneth wrote:I don't think you are really missing anything with just English Titles.

Re: Japan NGP and NGPC games
i only considered the playable Jp releases. There are a few that are text heavy.
Ganbare Neo Poke-Kun is text heavy, but pretty playable i guess.

Thats what I heard, unfortunately I havent seen a cart on the bay in a long time. Looks like some of the titles are impossible to find, despite being good or bad gamessneth wrote:i only considered the playable Jp releases. There are a few that are text heavy.
