Have you ever walked out of the theatre because of a movie?

The only movie I ever walked out of was Johnny English. Bad, bad comedy with that Mr. Bean dude.

Why did I even bother seeing it in the first place, you ask? There's quite a minimal amount of entertaining experiences in which to partake in this town, and that was the most appealing movie playing at the time (small theater), so my friend and I apparently had nothing better to do. That is, until we actually viewed some amount of the movie.

Man, there was this awful movie two years ago or something, about some kind of virus and people in a quarantine that eventually created their own hierarchy and eventually they kill each other and it just turns into some dirty orgy, at that part I walked out.
Blindness, it was called.

Fortunately, since my dad is an old school media pirate (sneaks into movies after the one we paid for is over, take that ya whippersnappers and your pirate bays!), we didn't pay for that.

I stood up about 30 minutes in and said "THIS MOVIE FUCKIN' BLOWS!" and walked out.
Transformers 2 is a terrible, terrible movie, but that's really freaking obnoxious. If you're going to talk out of a movie, at least be considerate of others in the theater.

I wanted to walk out of Avatar, but I was afraid my wife might be enjoying it, so I stuck around. It turns out that she hated it as much as I did, so I guess we should have walked out.

The only other time I walked out wasn't because of the movie-- it was because of someone in the audience. A couple of friends and I went to see "The Hangover". We got to the theater early, so we got really good seats. For some reason, nobody sat next to us until a group of women showed up as the movie was starting and plopped down. One then immediately began talking. For example, when the guy says that he can't be within 200 feet of a school, she laughed really, really loud and "Ha ha ha ha! Child Molester!" really loudly. She continued, repeating most punchlines a couple of times. When she was telling Zach Galifianakis to "Put on some pants!" and saying, "He's not wearing any pants!" over and over (about fifteen minutes into the film), I asked her to please not talk during the movie. She ignored me, so I said it again, "Ma'am, please don't talk during the movie." I attempted to say this quietly and not disturb others.

She responded, again quite loudly, "You shut your damn mouth, you little bastard!" I got up to find an usher, but he didn't give a crap, so I told my friends I was leaving and went and got my money back.

In 2001 i got a date with this girl Rebecca Harper. I was so excited, she was gorgeous. So i took her out to a nice dinner and then the movies. Your typical 16 year old first date. When we got to the movies she asked what are we going to see. Stupidly i said "Whatever you want!". She picked "Glitter" :( I made it about 40 minutes. Looked over at her and thankfully she was just as miserable as i was. So we left.

Just wondering - did anybody here make it all the way through Zohan?

I never watched it, although I know people who apparently love it. What really sucks is they keep sending us movies for Christmas - the last one they sent being Elf. Still trying to figure out who we'll give that one to.

Yes. I actually thought the first ten minutes or so were pretty funny, but the rest of the movie was pretty bad.

Also, I kind of thought its attempted message about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict kind of offensive. They acknowledged the complexity of the situation in an early gag, but then proceeded to paint the whole thing in overly-simplistic terms and resort to dumb "terrorist" stereotyping for the rest of the film.

I can honestly say I endured Star Wars - only due to substantial amounts of alcohol
needles to say; I can't remember any of it

I walked out of LotR - Return of the King
endured it through 10-15 minutes; then I felt the urge of starting to rip off people's heads

needless to say; I did not take much liking to (nor did I pay for watching) the first two of episodes of this never-ending cash-cow
C-64 will never die
- only the players
