well. Yes. But Ninty had their biz plan ahead of time. And stuff.

ico and shadow of the colossus redone in hi-def and packed with the new ps3 title (the name escapes me)

for some reason this thread made me think of how cool a marathon re-invisioning would be, and i made up a new word for it. re-invisioning.

The Last Guardian.

I think a compilation disc of Team ICO's other titles could help drum up publicity for their new games (a la God of War Collection)

McKids looks a lot better than Mick and Mack global gladiators. But if I had to pick a mcdonalds game for that collection it would be Ronald's Treasureland Adventure... made by Treasure.

I'm personally waiting for the Megaman 9-14 collection...despite the fact that I haven't beat a single game on the megaman 1-8 collection.

Design your perfect compilation

Post by Flake »

I love compilation discs / carts. Well, maybe not the zany Chinese ones. But Neogeo collection? Sonic Mega Collection? Mega Man Anniversary? Yes, please.

Sadly, a lot of great collectible series/games go without compilations. What would be on your dream compilation disc / cart?

My two top picks:

Mario / Wario Land collection for the DS.

Pretty straight forward. I think Nintendo could put Mario Land 1-3 and Wario Land 2-4 on a DS cart and sell it like hot cakes. Maybe update the games a little if they were feeling frisky. These are games that are quickly fading out of existence, confined as they are on GB carts with dying batteries.

Megaman Legends Collection for PSP

Not exactly a dream compilation (since it exists in Japan) but I'd kill to have fresh copies of Legends, Tron Bonne and Legends 2. I have each of these games but I dread the day something happens to any of my discs. Tron Bonne ain't exactly easy to come by, you know?

What compilations would you throw money at?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Mega Man Anniversary Collection and/or Mega Man X Collection for DS/PSP
Yeah it's already out but I'd love to have these portable.

Shining Force Collection
To specify, SF1, SF2, SF CD and all three episodes from SF3 translated. Heck throw on Shining in the Darkness, Shining the Holy Ark and Shining Wisdom just to sweeten the deal.

Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World & Yoshi's Island for the DS
Again, already exists (well, sans Yoshi's Island) but would awesome portable and it also would be nice to have all of them on one cart. Also throw in the GB games to make it that much better.

Also I second the Mega Man Legends compilation for PSP.

A Castlevania compilation would be cool. Also making compilations of some of the cool, original XBLA and PSN games would be badass.

I'm going to be called nuts here, but here goes.

A Pokemon Compilation. Featuring Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald, with updated graphics. Basically, this would serve as the Gen 3 remakes if the pattern continues into Gen 5. It would be hard to perform, but I feel it could work.

F-Zero compilation, basically including Maximum Velocity, GP Legend, and Climax on one DS card. I could see this being a Pre-Order Exclusive if F-Zero X gets a 3D remake on 3DS.

A handheld Zelda compilation. Basically Link's Awakening and the Oracle Games on one cart. Again, I could see this being a Pre-Order Exclusive if Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask gets a 3D remake on 3DS. (Which I'm pretty sure Ocarina is anyway.)

A Megaman 1-10 Compilation for DS. 9 and 10 has all DLC and can connect online for high scores. A kid can dream, can't he?

That's all I can think of for now.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

A Mother 1+2+3 compy for the 3DS.

And maybe a Dragon Quest comp for the 3DS, because I want to play all of them, just not buy all of them.

And also maybe a basic Mana collection (secret, 3, legend).
