Good Side-Scrolling RPG's?

Post by Gooseberrysoda »

I've been playing Zelda: WoG and Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link a lot, lately. I've been so ingrossed in them- I haven't felt this way since I was playing Pokemon in 3rd grade. Name some good other ones so I can keep this feeling going. :D

Valkyrie Profile is a wonderful Side-scrolling rpg.it's full of depth and it has a steep learning curve. but in the end i found it to be enjoyable once you understand what your doing. i realize that the game is expensive, but if you have a psp you could get Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, which is a port of the first game and is virtually identical to the ps1 version.

I prefer Odin Sphere myself.

Muramasa is by the same devs on the Wii, but they toned down the RPG elements a bit in favor of better action. There's also Faxanadu on the NES which has more in common with Zelda 2.

Side scrolling RPGs? How about E.V.O. for the SNES and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PS1 (available on other systems). These are two of my personal favorites.
