Best GBA/NDS games for a certain fetish...

Post by thetooth »

Atm i am thinking of collecting mint gba games I've played but only want to get the very best of the best. So far there are only 2 (and possibly 3 if i get into Wario Land 4) games a really do enjoy on the system.

Advance Wars 2
Drill Dozer

These seem to be the only type i like now and after re reading the hidden gems guide at least 100times to make sure i have not missed anything i guess i need help to find something of the same gameplay and graphics feel. I've played most of the big name Nintendo titles all before so anything Mario, Kiby, Metriod, Zelda, etc is out.. even though i really should get The Minish Cap because of the sheer beauty of that game but i don't really have the time needed to get threw a game that big anymore(saving and playing later is so unforgiving in Zelda games huh).

There was a shit ton of games released for the system and so i am sure theres more then 2 that are worthy of me :P Basically what i want is something with a solid and well known design like a platformer(can be anything) but also with a worth while gimmick to make it seem fresh like the VIBRATING GAME CART on Drill Dozer or the PERFECT GRAPHICS AND SOUND on Advance Wars 2.

:P

Warioware, plenty of mini game variety.

For whatever it's worth I strongly suggest the first Advanced Wars. It's more streamlined, and generally better imo.

Not bad for Gunstar. Its a lot cheaper at Gamestop.

Here's the two Wariowares. Twisted has a sensor.

Both of the Klonoa games, Dream Champ Tournament & Empire of Dreams, are worth checking out. Both are fun platformers. I recommend the first Advance Wars and both Wario games as well and I've been told that Astro Boy: Omega Factor is outstanding.

Some of the personal favorites in my collection are Ninja Five-O, Shining Soul II, F-Zero GP Legend, Racing Gears Advance, River City Ransom, Fire Emblem Sacred Stones, Golden Sun 2, Castlevania Harmony Of Dissonance and Aria Of Sorrow and I liked Advance Guardian Heroes. And I second Astro Boy, its a great game. Also Street Fighter Alpha 3 was a pretty decent port considering the hardware.

A lot of people are recommending great games. As much as I'd like to join the choir (Castlevania Aria Of Sorrow is incredibly awesome :D ), I think people are forgetting your request. I think Wario Ware is a nice game that is very inspired by simple to play, fun to play, and an addicting game philosophy. It was made by the person who made the 2D Metroid games after all, but it harnesses a completely different feel. Wario Ware Twisted is a crazy awesome game that I recommend you get, partially based on the 2 games mentioned and partially because it's so awesome!

Whats really Twisted is playing or trying to play it on your Cube Gameboy player. No wrist strap for the cube. :D

Would like to have played it on the big screen somehow though.
