Here is a handy item list

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/sms/file/588116/13961

And im pretty sure most of that stuff is pointed out in the manual anyway. Also something i found out when it was too late the guns odin can use attack every enemy for a set amount of damage. I made the mistake of following this guide to closely and ignored guns most of the game.

I'm actually at the last boss, Dark Falz. He's really really hard though. Odin's using the Laconian Axe, but I feel like he did way more damage when he had a gun. And maybe I should have a laser sword for Noah as well. Sigh. I might have to do some backtracking.

I'm about to go to Balay Malay or whatever its called, some of my gear sucks. I've been using a guide most of the way. I would like to ask you all something,

has anyone ever beat this game without a guide? I'm thinking this game would take a million years without one...

I used the Sega "checklist" that the hotline used to give out. It's not really a walkthrough, but it provides like a list of shit to do or get. But I gave up attempting the 3D dungeons without maps about halfway through. They're just too confusing without.

noiseredux, You Rock! :!:

Way to go.

I spent a long session today progressing Alias to level 25 and I'm currently trying to find the other dungeon hidden behind an ice wall (this digger rocks!)

Finally beat it! Awesome game overall, it's great to find an old RPG that I can really get into. Also, did anyone find Odin's last gun Sound Effect REALLY annoying? haha

I actually didn't progress him past the Laconian Axe. Honestly, I was really stingy with my upgrades. Probably made it harder on myself...

I beat the game. I found the last boss to be more challenging than in most RPGs I have played. The reason might just be that I didn't bother to max out my characters liked I used to do when I played a lot of RPGs years ago.

I also followed that tip page mentioned earlier, and eventually ended up using dungeon maps. Making my own maps was just too tedious and boring. The game was pretty fun for me, but I'm not a fan of the first-person dungeons. If there was an in-game map, I probably would not have minded them. The experience was positive enough that I plan to play the sequels some day.

the last boss was hard, but I think it was slightly deceptive since his HP was hidden. In fact, I actual had a way harder time with Lasic than I did with the final boss. I was nowhere near maxed out either.
