Re: has anybody seen this? new record for price paid for game
Hmm? Was this the guy who won the 40k Stadium Events game? There needs to be an actual punishment for fucking around with ebay on purpose.Iah wrote:t***1( 181Feedback score is 100 to 499) Cancelled: US $224,500.00

Yes. I am picturing a man in his 30's - 40's, having to tell his wife that he bid 224 500 $ for a video game on e-bay.
Re: has anybody seen this? new record for price paid for game
I think you are talking about something different than the 40k Stadium events.Iah wrote:Niode wrote:Can you elaborate please?Iah wrote:t***1( 181Feedback score is 100 to 499) Cancelled: US $224,500.00

Oh i see. So it wasn't a winner who retracted. It was someone who retracted before the auction was over.Iah wrote:Click on the bidding history on the auction page.tahoe2 wrote:

I'm appalled and jealous at the same time. Thats beyond hardcore.

I'm already starting to see the effects of these auctions on eBay and Craigslist -- people thinking anything Nintendo is worth a butt-ton of money, so they list NES + SMB3 for $1000.
In my mind, I'd rather have $200,000 worth of awesome games for every system than this one game that has a Bandai logo where the scoreboard in WCT&F is.

Currently Playing: Resident Evil 5 Gold (PS3), Chrono Trigger (SNES), Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64), and the waiting game . . . for my Gold n' Wood Neo Geo.
