I agree with all of what you guys are saying. My kids didnt believe me when I told them old school games were more challenging than the new ones. That is untill I sat them down in front of an atari 2600. They quickly became annoyed with the difficulty and hooked at the same time.
Then when they got a 360, I downloaded stuff like contra for them to play. Again they were suprised at how challenging and fun it was. Dont get me wrong, I love seeing the smooth and detailed images that the new super systems put out, but theres something lost in all the bling.
With gaming at the level it is now....what makes us go back=

Thirty years from now it will still be much easier to play a 2600 game or a SNES game than it will a PS1 or Saturn game. Cartridges are just durable as hell.Gamerforlife wrote:This may sound silly, but I also love the durability of older cartridge games.
