Re: Pokemon MMO
Yeah I've talked about this so much with my friend. I feel like they would have to make the leveling system a lot different, and a lot longer proportionally for evolution. Or have it take a super long time. because if you could get like Charizard for an example in that as fast as you can in the GB games, it'd be boring really fast. They'd need a ridiculous amount of sidequests, and minigames, and various other things.
Re: Pokemon MMO
They should do this instead of coming up with more and more games. I dont want any more mystery dungeon games. IT would be cool because instead of facing npc trainers in the wild, you could actually walk up to some people and engage in battle. Would be cool to become a gym leader too. I actually believed that in pokemon sapphire, you could go to the school in the first city and actually learn to become a gym leader.
Re: Pokemon MMO
I think thatd be a great idea. They could pull it off. I know Id jump o that for sure. I used to be a Pokemon player, and if a huge game like this came out, Id start up again.
Re: Pokemon MMO
Most people don't consider Phantasy Star Zero an MMO. If it is, Diablo 2 may as well be an MMO. You're restricted to 4 players in a game, and the world is not persistent. Pulling off an MMO on the DS, as of right now, would be pretty tough if they wanted to keep the graphics at a high quality. The DS2 on the other hand...AmishSamurai wrote:Phantasy Star Zero is an MMO on the DS that works, so a DS Pokemon MMO would work beautifully. It'd have to be 3D, and you'd have to level up the trainer for powers and skills just like the Pokemon. Like, trainers could get classes they can interchange through once a day, each class gets bonuses with certain types of pokemon (Hiker gets bonus with rock/ground, Pokemon Breeder gets bonuses with unevolved pokemon, etc.)
Although if they haven't done it already, a future one is unlikely.
Re: Pokemon MMO
Having co-founded and run a fairly popular Pokemon site years ago, I'd have to say the large portion of the participants playing this MMO would make for a pretty unbearable experience (just my observations with the "pokemon crowd" on the net). It would be an incredibly lucrative business to be involved with on the development side tho.
Re: Pokemon MMO
If they could do it well, that would be fucking awesome.
