I really just want to get it built, and a friend I work with has an extra 450w power supply he will GIVE me.(and it is an Rosewill, and from what I read, is not a bad brand)
But again. look at the amperage on the rails. Brand isn't always everything.
If you can hold that card for me till next month, it would be awesome. I looked at a few different evga cards, but always heard bad things about the fans, but it looks like you took care of that.

Ouch a month. Are you sure you won't just change your mind by that time? Yes the stock 7600GT sounds like a god damn shuttle, just like my new X1950XT does. Thats why I replaced it with the Zalman. It requires a connection to one of the PSU's molex jacks instead of the jack on the card itself, but it's worth the silence and temp drop. I'd have kept this Zalman cooler for my X1950XT but it just can't quite handle the insane heat from this new card, so I ordered the
full spread, full copper model. It gets here today. Can't wait to silence this damn thing. One thing to note though, is on my 7600GT, those bonus RAM heatsinks aren't sticking as well as they should since I took them off one time. I may remove the sticky pads, and apply some arctic silver thermal paste, but I need to buy some. That will drop temps even further.
Whenever I got back to work i checked out some of the systems that walmart sells, and when I see a Dell with the exact specs, but half the ram for $500, I cant help but feel like I accomplished something.
NEVER buy from Walmart, even if it's a Dell. My god, I've seen quite a few absolutely stupid construction designs. Among other examples, I've seen systems built with one low speed, 100mm exhaust fan, and the systems have 75C box temps, and they since overheated and wouldn't power on anymore.
That vent on the case right above the pci slots will become my exhaust , thanks to a cheap fan and some zip ties, hehehe.
You can always save a ton of money by just getting creative in the process of building a PC. There are so many ways to get around a mess, or lack of adaptors, drive slots, whatever. And in the end, you feel like the smartest man alive.
