What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It's kind of funny to talk about "best" Paul W.S. Anderson films, but I've always* been partial to Soldier.

*Actually, only since late 2002, when I first saw it.

Movies that I watched to break the pace of my 80s "walkathon"

[REC]² - A worthy sequel to a fantastic horror movie. It ties up loose ends found in the original and has a nice twist in the end.
Right At Your Door - An entertaining low-budget thriller that could have benefitted from larger funds. The end was what made the movie for me.
Last Action Hero - One of the last great parody movies, LAH has it all: Bad puns, tons of action, intentionally unintentional humour/goofs, a great soundtrack etc etc.

Or Adam Sandler.
Is it just me or did anyone else's mind immediately snap to the Fifth Element when Bruce Willis said his middle name was Cornelius?

Susperia is soooo classic, sad they are remaking it( by guy who did pineapple express and george washington) both of which are excellent movies, so we will have to see how that turns out

Idiocracy.

Highly recommended! In an oh so scary way.

Right At Your Door is a fantastic film! I didn't see that ending coming.

Well, might I recommend Trauma (his more Americanized work) and Sleepless (aka Non Ho Sonno). Both are part of the "giallo" subgenre, which is ironic since Argento apparently has been trying to escape it (hence, his "Three Mothers" trilogy, which are composed of Suspiria, Inferno, and the more recent affair Mother of Tears).

He's also got a new film called "Giallo", where Adrien Brody plays an Italian detective who finds himself tracking a killer called Yellow (giallo is Italian for yellow).

Another good Argento film is "The Bird with the Crystal Plumage", part of his Animals trilogy, which includes Cat'o'Nine Tails and Four Flies on Grey Velvet.

As for me... started watching the film "Manic" last night. I once heard it described as being a modern-day "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". It's got Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.

John Hurt has won a lifetime achievement award at the Bradford International Film Festival (BIFF). A nice coincidence that I watched Alien and Spaceballs last night :D

Oh, no.
Not again.
