Welcome Sam, always great to have new members with their experiences and ideals. You mentioned you are an old school gamer, what systems? You could modify your signature link if you want to, and show what systems you own. Also if you have not tried that blue links bar above in particular "Topics" and "Guides", Racketboy has provided a wealth of information on various systems.
