What's with the sexism and homophobia lately?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Thank you Dsheinem! I couldn't agree more.

The use of "gay" "fag" and "homo" as deragatory words is one of my pet peeves. It makes it so those words have a negative connotation, so anyone who is actually gay is now stuck with this label that most people have paired as meaning bad. And people say that "gay" as slang is somehow a different word than "gay" as a description of sexual orientation, but everyone knows that when a man does anything that seems even remotely feminine is when he is most likely to be called a fag.

This is bad for straight people as well as gay. Straight men can be ridiculed as "fags" or "homos" for having hair that is a little too stylish, for liking a love song, for wearing a sweater, for enjoying a romantic comedy, for drinking a beverage other than beer, for showering, for losing weight, for being clean, for being organized, for making art, for matching their clothes, for being concerned about a male friend's welfare, for being intelligent, for not liking baseball... and this list could go ON and ON and ON. Look, if you want to be some emotionless, unkempt little runt whose only concern in life is beer and pussy, that's fine. But stop constantly flapping your mouth with insults that suggest that is the one true definition of masculinity. Being an ugly slobby asshole is not what I want being a man to mean.

And then this leads to sexism because so many of the things these runts hate about queer people are often the more feminine qualities. The recent post about Call of Duty for women being an iron- come on. Are we really going to make jokes based on some 1950s stereotype of what a woman should be? For fuck's sake. Respect your women boys. Making jokes about them being the lesser sex only makes you look lesser.

Why on Earth would anyone here after ds put so nicely his expectations feel the need to argue with him about it (mostly new people). Especially because he is not asking much, this forum has always been a clean fun, accepting environment, and I really do not want it to stoop to the level of South Park humor and gay jokes, lets keep it classy and have a good time

Post count when you have over 1000 posts of amazing information filled posts does count.
I would rather listen to henrygrik than most of you idiots, he would probably have something better to say about this. Basically, shut up and listen to the mods, or you will be banned.

Hatta, I challenge you
You are all gay faggoty homo's, get back to the kitchen women

You know the origin of the word "fag"?

It comes from "faggot", a bundle of sticks which you burn. Homosexuals were called "faggots" because traditionally people killed homosexuals by burning them like a bundle of sticks in giant fires. If you recanted being homosexual, you would wear an embroidery of a bundle of sticks to represent what you deserved for your sins.

Ergo, I still think it's fucking offensive to call someone a faggot.

Fact: I usually cook the dinner at least 5 days a week.

Another fact: Ya know what's in my kitchen? Some of the best food in North Carolina. I'm so proud of my knives and kitchen accessories, I might just have to start a "show your kitchen" thread.

I won't. But I just might.

But I won't.

So, every good poster aorund here understands why using "gay" as a insult is bogoted. Yes, it's pretty damn obvious but people fail at that. I'm happy you are nice people unlike that 15 posts user there.

Given that I want Racketboy to be a good place for everyone boy, girl, homosexual, cisgendered or robot I very much agree that we need in the rules a mention of this.

Gay people shoulodn't need to defend themselves here, they have enough with the real world.

And anyone who thinks gay people are "oversensitve" because they are being insulted because of their sexuality should be permanently banned. It's like saying "well, I'm just saying that you black people suck and smell bad, don't be oversensitive" and thinking it's alright.
